We all know that financial education is important but few of us actually know where to get the knowledge needed to be financially literate. The National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) foundation dedicated to helping individuals acquire the information and gain the skills necessary to take control of their personal finances.

NEFE has developed this six-unit, web-based curriculum to provide teens with a greater understanding of, and ability to manage, their personal finances. The program teaches goal setting, budgeting, and saving through unique games, simulations, case studies, and interactive exercises.

Unit One - Financial Planning: Your Roadmap - Financial Goals, Effective Decision Making, Financial Planning Process

Unit Two - Careers: Labor You Love - Careers, Education, Training, and Employee Skills

Unit Three - Budget: Don't Go Broke - Budgeting and Consumer Lending

Unit Four - Savings and Investments: Your Money at Work - Time Value of Money, Investing, and Savings

Unit Five - Managing Credit: Buy Now, Pay Later - How Credit Works and Managing Debt

Unit Six - Insurance: Your Protection - Risk and Insurance
